James Arthur Duffie

Goodwater - Funeral service for James Arthur Duffie, 61, will be Friday, May 20, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Rev Joe Camp officiating. Burial will be in Marble City Cemetery. Mr. Duffie passed away May 17, 2011 at his residence. He was preceded in death by Mother, Lurline Duffie; Father, James R. Duffie; son, Glenn Epperson. James never met a stranger. He always had a smile and a joke to tell. He loved life, his family and music. He was a retired military man. He is survived by wife, Patricia Kelly Duffie of Goodwater; sons, David Epperson of Sylacauga; Jimmy Smith of Stewartville; Israel James of Stewartville; David Smith (Sharon) of Goodwater; daughters, Connie Brooks of Sylacauga; Kimberly Miller of Sylacauga; Angela Sims of Sylacauga; sister, Eunice Taylor of Sylacagua; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, May 19 from 5-8, at the North Chapel. Pallbearers will be David Smith, Jeff Jones, Shane Ricks, Anthony Keahey, Tommy Golden, Rodney Golden.
