James "Danny" Smith

Danny was a resident of Sylacauga, Alabama. He is survived by his children: Angela Smith (John Connell), Pam Barnett (Dale), Gena Hamm, and Chad Smith (Jodi). His grandchildren include Brittany McKee (Colt), Austin Hamm, Brandon Barnett (Alyssa), Haley McGrady (Anthony), Cody Hamm (Abby), Daniel Smith, Aidan Smith-Connell, and Beck Smith-Connell. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren. Danny was predeceased by his wife, Betty Hall Smith, his brother, Carl Smith, his father, J.C. Smith, and his mother, Bertha Smith Anderson.

Visitation will be held at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, North Chapel, located at 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama, 35150, on January 30, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. A graveside service will follow at Highland Cemetery in Piedmont, Alabama, starting at 12:00 pm. Danny's final resting place will be Highland Cemetery.
