Bro. Jerry Wade PilkingtonSylacauga - Funeral service for Bro. Jerry Wade Pilkington, 52, will be Monday, February 28, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro. Jared Pilkington and Bro. Andy Grant officiating.  Burial will be in Childersburg City Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.Bro. Pilkington died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at his residence.  He was married 11 years and was pastor of Souls Harbor Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius T. and Geraldine Pilkington.He is survived by wife, Shena Pilkington of Sylacauga; son, Jared Pilkington, wife Jess, of Pensacola, FL; 2 step-sons, Jacob Brown, Joshua  Brown, both of Sylacauga; daughter, Emily Pilkington of Sylacauga; brother, Ricky Pilkington, wife Pam, of Bon Air, AL; 3 sisters, Joyce Gentry, husband Phillip, of Sylacauga, Gloria Andrews of Gardendale, AL, Judy  Gibson of Sylacauga; 3 honorary daughters, Angelia Fields, Michelle Barnes, Jennifer Kruger; and 6 honorary grandchildren, Calvin Barnes, Ethan Barnes, Trenton Kruger, Leland Kruger, Asher Kruger and Canyon Ledbetter. Visitation will be Sunday February 27, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.Pallbearers will be Tony Fields, William Edwards, Joel Gambrell, Chris Hill, Blake Barnes, Derek Kruger, Jason Pilkington and Clay Blanchard.  Lewis Chapman and Hoyt Mann will serve as honorary pallbearers.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
