Jettie Dale Bates

Sylacauga, AL. - Jettie Dale Bates, age 88, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025.

Jettie is survived by her son, Malcolm Bates (Denise); daughters, Celena Martin (Scott), Casundra Ann Turner (Bill); son, Scott Bates (Trina); 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Jettie was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Bates; son, Jackie Will Bates Jr.; parents, William and Iris Dale; 9 brothers and sisters; granddaughter, Sarah Turner; and grandsons, Jessie Bates and Taft Brown.

A visitation for Jettie will be held Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Charles Sims officiating.

Jettie will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, AL 35150.

Serving as pallbearers are Michael Johnson, Matt Turner, Anthony Ledford, Chris Harvell, CJ Smith, and Jordan Wright. Honorary pallbearer will be CJ Swint.
