Although I have not seen Judy, L.C., or the kids in over forty years, I have fond memories of Judy as a warm, kind-hearted wife and mother. She was an asset to everyone around her, and I know she will be sorely missed. But I am sure the family would agree that Heaven has gained a wonderful new saint.


Mrs. McMurphy was amazing with each one of her students, she loved everyone and had the purest heart.  I am proud I was taught English & Spanish from her. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I know how selfless she was. Her light will continue to shine through all the lives she touched. I Love You Mrs. Mc you will always be my favorite teacher!

Mr. Mac, I was so sorry to hear about the  passing of  your beautiful wife.  All of  you are in our thoughts and prayers .  I know she will be missed by many.

Many memories of Judy. We were friends a very long time.  She was a unique person in  every way.  We worked together at Avondale Mills Sample/OTC Office, and that friendship made going to work nicer. L.C. you were the love of her life even when you gave her a bathroom rug for Christmas way back when.  I could tell you some stories. Connie and David, I remember when you were born and her love for the both of you.  She loved all of her brothers and sisters and could tell me family stories from those days that would have me rolling with laughter.   Most of all she loved Jesus, and because of that we can rejoice even though we will miss her. Only two things last forever, the Word of God and the souls of men.  Judy knew it and lived it.

My thoughts and prayers to the family during this time of sorrow.  I remember working on relay for life with Judy several years back.  Such a godly woman to be around.  I know she will be missed. 

Mr. Mac and David, and all the McMurphy family, you are in my prayers and I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Judy was such a  sweet  person and always had a beautiful smile for everyone. Sending prayers for all of  her family. I know you will see her again one day.  

Thank you for being a mentor in high school and ensuring that our education was key to being successful. Best teacher ever. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this time.

I was privileged to work with Judy at B. B. Comer.  She was truly an example of an awesome teacher and a fine Christian lady. My thoughts and prayers are with L.C. and the rest of her family.


To L.C. and family we extend our sincere thoughts & prayers on the home going of Mrs. Judy.  Your family has been an inspiration to the city of Sylacauga. This life is a journey and Judy set a path of Biblical origin for us to follow.  Only God knows the countless number of people Judy & L.C. have impacted for God. Judy was the sweetest person. When my husband  died 5 yrs ago she was there  lending a spiritual hand.  When  God called her home we lost a very special person.  She will  be missed  by all who knew and loved her.

Such a beautiful lady and life is her legacy to me.  A Godly mentor to so many, God richly blessed me to have known Ms. Judy.  Mr. Mc, Connie, David, other family members and friends, my thoughts, prayers and love to each of you. God Bless.

Mrs.McMurphy was a sweet and kind hearted person who's smile brighten a lot of my days at BB Comer. She was always willing to help and listen to her students she will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her.

I love Judy Mc. She was one of the BEST teachers at Comer school. She didnt care of color or gender you needed her and she was there. She treated us all like her children. She was truly a gift and a precious person. Mrs Mc will truly be missed. Rest easy sweet lady.

Charles and I are praying for God's comfort for all of Judy's family and friends during this time of grief and pain.   It is wonderful to know that  she is in the presence of our Lord.  We will see her again and, when we do, we will never have to say goodbye again.
