He is survived by his wife, Darlene Abbott; his son, Keith Abbott; his stepsons, Scott Patterson and Frank "Bubba" Goggins; his daughter, Keena Abbott; his stepdaughters, Shirley Crain, Juawana Kilgore, and Maci Goggins; his brothers, Tommy Glenn Abbott and Tony "Rabbit" Abbott; his sister, Beverly Elaine Goodwin (Kenny); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Ronald "Ronnie" Abbott; his father, Jesse James Abbott; and his mother, Janice Juadine Fant Abbott.
