

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Lamar Bryant, 80, will be Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Pastor J. Patrick McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.
Mr. Bryant died Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his residence. He was preceded in death by father and mother, Felix and Annie Bryant and brother, James Bryant. Mr. Bryant was a member and deacon of Five Points Baptist Church. He worked for A and P Grocery, Stans, and Wal-Mart throughout his life and enjoyed collecting model cars. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his family and friends. A special thanks to the staff and nurses of Kindred Hospice and Susan Wilder for their loving support they gave to Lamar and his family.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lena P. Bryant of Sylacauga; two sons, Jeff Bryant wife Janice of Sylacauga, Mark Bryant wife Dawn of Aberdeen, MS; brother, Gerald Bryant wife Mable of Jacksonville, FL; six grandchildren, April DeRoussel husband Ryan, Chris Bryant wife Jessica, Jason Bryant, Whitney Bryant, Robby Bryant wife Chelsi, and Taylor Parks; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday May 23, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Don Smith, Rodney Luker, Randey Chappell, Harold Brooks, L.C. McMurphy, Jerry Brown and David Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Leonard Saffold, Bill Owings, Herby Collins, Robo Hughes, John Dunn, Yancey Patterson, Earl Joiner and members of the McDonald's Breakfast Club.
