I remember Larry, my momma and me going to the casino in Biloxi Mississippi. We had a blast. I also remember all the Birthday parties for our grandson.  Gone but not forgotten Larry. 

Larry took me to my first Casino. I was 19 or 20. I shouldn't have been allowed inside. I was so nervous.He walked me in there like we were suppose to be inside. He was known there so no one ask any questions. He gave me $20.00 and sat beside me. He told me what to press and lost the entire $20.00.When it was gone he was like ok now you can leave. He got up and walked off. First trip and I was there maybe 10 minutes no telling how long he stayed.

What can I say about uncle Larry?  Heck, my name was the same as his middle name and when momma and daddy gave me that name he wasn't happy...lol  From my earliest memories of him, in the chair in the living room at granny's biting his toenails.  To putting ketchup on his eggs.  Shoeing a horse in the living room in Greeneville Mississippi Stucky's back apartment they lived in.  Getting stuck in his old Bronco in the woods with my dad and them having to walk miles out of the woods to get dad's truck, which as we tried to pull him out we pulled his Bronco apart piece by piece.  Canoeing with him and Lulu down Hatchett Creek and the water level was too low so we didn't get out of there before 11pm that same night after walking/floating all day long down that creek. Riding in the back seat of that VW bug in the woods...with mudgrip tires...and floating in mudholes to get where we were hunting.  Visiting over the mountain off 148 with him and Paulene and them raising birds.  Him and dad killing a doe and putting it in the back of dad's truck with the camper top on and it coming alive when they got home and they had to stab it to kill it with a knife on a stick.  
There's just so many memories of him that I can't settle on just a couple.  These are only a few of the hundreds of memories I have of uncle Larry.  I know him and my dad are up in Heaven now and, Lord what stories they must be telling each other and remembering all the times they were together and got in trouble, while I tagged along on only a very few.  I'll miss him.  

for58years larry and i  were best friends when you saw one the other was closeby  even through thick and then he was there for me and my wife of 52 years and on resurection day i know i will see him again

I remember way back when I was a child along with Larry's children, Chris & Laura. We were all in his VW and we going to the cow pasture to where my dad kept cows and Larry kept his horses. We were all riding together. Larry turned off the road and head up to the gate and it had been raining & we got stuck. There was mud slinging every where. As kids we thought it was so funny. Well Larry just didn't think it was too funny. He kept his cool and found a way to get out of it. We were all laughing & having a good time. He got out and found old sticks, boards, & hay and such to put around it to get out of it. We thought it way just way too funny. At least, I learned never to not loose my cool and how to get out of a mud hole. And it was a fun memory. 
Larry was always a good man and was there to help a person in need and lend a helping hand. He painted my first house and help to make repairs to it. He cleaned the chimney and did many other things. If he had not been there when they turned the water on the whole house would have been flooded and there would have been major damage. I have many memories of him and will treasure him forever. He may be gone but never forgotten for we hold a piece of him in our hearts forever!! He was a rare treasure!! One day we will be reunited again and Heaven is sweeter because of it and our love will live on forever. 

Larry was my stepdad he was a great person. He would always call and say what you doing I would say nothing and he would say well get your butt up and do something.   He would tell Alex if he would bring him some scissors he would cut his hair. 

Thank everyone that came an emotionally supported our family. My daddy would have been so happy at the family an friends that came together. I miss you daddy and love you so much. We will meet again in heaven.

Sorry to hear about my friend from many years ago in high school, RIP.
