Lena Eva Lee Sumners

She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Peoples (Bobby) and Joyce Higgins; her grandchildren, Lee Holmes, Ray Holmes (Pam), and Robb Peoples (Nicole); her great-grandchildren, Kaycee Holmes, Walker Homes, Chloe Bearden (Peyton), Tate Holmes, Gracie Peoples, and Robert Peoples; and her great-great-grandchild, Ellie Holmes.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Sumners; her father, A.K. Sims; her mother, Ressie Mae Sims; and her sisters, Liz Blackerby and Reba Howell.

A Graveside Service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, on March 9, 2026, at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sylacauga First Church of the Nazarene.
