Mr. Lodis Virgil Ezekiel age 92 of Weogufka, Al passed away on February 13, 2011 at Russell Medical Center. Funeral Services for Mr. Ezekiel will be on Wednesday February 16, 2011 at Unity Presbyterian Church at 1PM. Visitation will be on February 15, 2011 from 5:30-8PM at the Curtis and Son North Chapel. Burial will be in Unity Cemetery. Rev. Charles Sims and Rev. Peter McElRalph will be officiating. Survivors are Daughters: Donna (Randy) Helm of Weogufka, Al and Judy (Randy) Woodard of Fayetteville, Al. Sons; Bobby (Ann) Ezekiel of Weogufka, Al, and Tim (Gail) Ezekiel of Weogufka, Al. Sister: Carolyn Pody of Piedmont, Al. Brother; Curtis Ezekiel of Sylacauga, Al. Pallbearers: Kevin, Wayne Ezekiel, Travis Woodard, Tony and Billy Helm, Matt Ezekiel and Charles Hewitt. Honorary Pallbearers are Grandson-in-law and Great Grandsons. Preceded in death by Wife: Minnie Ezekiel, Son: Billy Ezekiel, Parents; Homer and Rushie Ezekiel, Brothers; Ernest and Buddy, Robert , A.V. Sister: Evelyn (Pete) Blankenship. Background: There will be a Masonic Graveside. He was a member of Masonic Lodge-Elder Americus. He served 32 years as Treasury of Unity Presbyterian Church. He worked for the city of Sylacauga as an Electrician. He also worked for Kimberly-Clark for 23 years, as an Electrician. Mr. Ezekiel was a cattle farmer. He was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather and friend and a Faithful church member. He was Paw-Paw Lodis to everyone. He served in the U.S. Navy in WWII.
