Loretta Davis Collins

A visitation for Loretta Davis Collins will be from 10-11 am at Curtis and Son North Chapel on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Funeral services for Loretta Davis Collins will follow the visitation at 11 am at Curtis and Son North Chapel with Dr. Rick Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Loretta died February 17, 2023 at her son's home in Opelika.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert H. Collins (Buddy), her father, Joseph N. Davis, Mother, Velvia Pody Davis, brother, Leonard J. Davis, sisters, Joyce Weathers and Rubye J. Rayfield.

She is survived by her son, Herbert D. "Herby" Collins, wife Heather, granddaughter, Abigail, sisters Christine Cannon and Lois Moore (Charles) and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Loretta was born in Montgomery, AL. She grew up in Coosa County, AL. She worked and retired from Avondale Mills in the payroll department. She also worked in the library at Indian Valley School.

Serving as pallbearers are Steve Moore, John Mark Moore, Phillip Collins, Marty Cannon, Michael Cannon and Mike Gaymon. Honorary pallbearer is Trey Layman.
