LuAnn Lawrence HughesSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for LuAnn Lawrence Hughes, 51, will be Friday, August 12, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Joe Cosby and Rev. Danny Courson officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mrs. Hughes died Tuesday, August 9, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, Rev. Lewis Denson and brother, David Denson.  She was a member of Hope Baptist Church in Lincoln, AL.  Even after death, her love for people lives through her as a tissue donor.  She was an accomplished musician, singer and song writer.  She volunteered at various churches assisting with music programs.  She died in Pensacola, FL from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.She is survived by her husband, Bill Hughes of Sylacauga; sons, David Lawrence, wife Angie of Sylacauga and Mike Simmons, wife Mandy of Alex City, AL; daughter, Sarah Lawrence of Odenville, AL; mother, Lucy Denson of Anniston, AL; step-daughters, Katie Hughes, Brooke Hughes and step-son, Chase Hughes all of Sylacauga;, sisters, Dr. Donna Lee of Albertville, AL, Deborah Edwards and Laura Deese both of Anniston, AL; grandchildren, Lexie Lawrence, Logan Lawrence, Asher Lawrence, Kyler Simmons, Autumn Simmons, Andrew Simmons and Brayden Hughes.Visitation will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.Pallbearers will be Jason Gordon, Ray Knight, Justin Edwards, Robb Peoples, Keith Clements and Pete Grier.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
