Mary Helen ParrishGretna, LA – Funeral services for Mary Helen McDonald Parrish will be Monday, July 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel.  Presiding over the service will be her son-in-law, Chris Sherbert.   She lived most of her life in Sylacauga, but has resided for the past six year in Gretna, Louisiana.Mary was born on February 25, 1945 and she passed from this life on July 5, 2012.  She was preceded in death by her father, John McDonald, mother, Rosie McDonald and several brothers and sisters.  She loved going to yard sales and sewing anything, especially fancy dresses for her granddaughters.She is survived by her 3 sons and one daughter:  William (Abbie) Arnold, Jr., Keith (Shannon) Arnold, Rachel (Chris) Sherbert and Kevin Arnold, along with 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by 2 brothers and 2 sisters:  Tommy (Judy) McDonald, Virgil McDonald, Pinkie Johnson and Frances Higgins.The family will be receiving visitors on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
