Childersburg, AL - Funeral service for Mary Alice Sims, 71, will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Hill Cemetery with Bro. Paul Hickman Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.
Mrs. Sims passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 from Acute Myelogenous Leukemia after a short stay at Brookwood Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Annie Kennedy, brother, Edward Higginbotham, brother, Carol Higginbotham, and husband, James Robert Sims.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Marie Sims; two step-sons, Richard Sims, Bruce Sims; sister-in-law, Lavone Higginbotham; four nieces, Cathy Harris, Paula Berry, Cynthia Box, Debbie Hall; two nephews, Dennis Higginbotham, Eddie Higginbotham; and numerous other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be from the church family.
