Michael "Mike" "Homeboy" Edward Mitchell

Alpine, AL. - Michael Edward "Mike" "Homeboy" Mitchell, age 61, was born July 28, 1963 and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Michael is survived by his wife of 37 years, Shelia Mitchell; son, Cory Mitchell (Ashley); daughter, Marisa Murchison (Jace); granddaughters, Kelby, Anna Claire, Madelynn, Chandler and Everleigh; brothers, Bobby Mitchell, Timmy Mitchell, Doug Martin; and sisters, Cheryl Arnold, Michelle Swain, Gina Norred and Patty Sadek.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Michael was employed at Home Depot, Sylacauga for over 20 years and loved his job and would help anybody. Mike's whole life revolved around his 5 granddaughters. He loved the outdoors, working in his garden and pool and grilling at Home Depot. He loved Alabama football and riding his Harley in memorial rides. Michael's family meant the world to him.

Michael will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and bikers.

A visitation for Michael will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sylacauga First Assembly of God, 560 Gantts Junction Rd, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150.

Michael will be laid to rest in Chandler Springs Assembly Cemetery, 1401 Horns Lake Rd, Talladega, AL 35160.

Serving as pallbearers are Seth Hendon, Sam Hendon, Justin Roland, Aaron Roland, Drew Mitchell, Camron Byrd, David Paul Lugo and Michael Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers are David Roland, Jace Murchison, James Mitchell, Frank Brannon and Jesse Giles.
