I remember when I first got access as a QA to be able to come through the doors to enter that back hallway and straight ahead was your office. Every single time that we saw one another there was a smile on your face and your "Hello" was so sweet and comforting. Then when I was promoted I made sure that every single time that I entered the building that I walked pass your office and said "Hey Terry" and you always replied with "Hey Mrs. Vee". Then at the Christmas party last year we were sitting at the same table and we had a blast! You were a real comedian that night and then to top it off you even got out there and danced! Terry I could go on and on because you were genuinely a loving person to me. I miss seeing you so much! You ran your race so now my friend take your rest. We love you but God loves you more. TB it’s “Chief”, you and I have spent the last 16 years together in the poultry business and as you know you were the one that nicknamed me “Chief” while working in Sylacauga. I can remember the 1st day I met you back in March 2004. I knew then that there was something special about you. I was still wet behind the ears as a young plant manager and thought I knew everything about running chicken, boy was I in for a reality check. You educated me very quickly about Chicken Accounting 101. You, Donnie and I spent many days in your office going back and forth about whose numbers were right and after it was all said and done as expected your numbers were always right which is where the famous phrase originated the “Bennefield Factor”. Your dedication to report the most accurate information daily made us all better in our jobs so that we could make the best decisions we could for our companies. As far as our memories we shared, there are so many as you can imagine being together for this long, but one that stands out more than most, was the Christmas parade back in Sylacauga in 2006 I believe. Everyone worked hard building the float that year….we had someone dressed up in a chicken costume….we had people throwing candy from the float as we strolled down Broadway street….and there sat TB in the front of the truck pulling the float playing a CD of a chicken clucking to every Christmas carol and all I can remember is you laughing, cackling and singing like a chicken the entire time. You made our float the topic of discussion around town to say the least. I will always remember your laugh, your smile, your response to me when I said good morning TB, it was always “We’re here Chief”. 29 years in this business and I had the distinct honor and privilege of spending 16 of those with you TB. You, Donnie & I were the last three from our days in Sylacauga still working together and now there are only two. You will be missed my friend but never forgotten. We love you TB!!  Chief!!

Terry our journey started at Winterboro High school many years ago and then our paths crossed again at Alatrade Foods in 2007...funny how the first 4 people hired were all from the Alpine, Sycamore, Childsburg and Sylacauga area.  We have had many good years here...I will miss our War Eagle vs Roll Tide fun jabs as well as your good morning greetings each day when I  passed your office...you will truly be missed.
