Rev. Ralph Earl GreenChildersburg, AL - Funeral service for Rev. Ralph Earl Green, 75, will be Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Ronnie Snyder officiating.  Burial will be in Shelvin Rock Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Rev. Green died Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. He pastored 5 churches in 40 years of ministry.  He was retired from Sylacauga Hospital after 20 years of service in Maintenance Department.  He was a master plumber/pipefitter, welder and carpenter.  He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army where he was involved with the development of the Nuclear Weapons Program.He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Green of Childersburg; sons, Tim Green of Childersburg, Jeff Green of Alexander City, Jonathan Green of Sylacauga and Nathan Green of Childersburg; sister, Virginia Goins of Childersburg;  7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2012 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.at Radney-Smith Funeral Home.The family will accept flowers or contributions may be made to New Day Ministries, 17 Montgomery Ave., Sylacauga, AL 35150 or Talladega Springs Baptist Church, 36 Grandberry Drive, Sylacauga, 35151.Pallbearers will be Mickey Green, Allen Green, Chad Green, Chase Green, Bo Green, Ramsey Pullen, Greg Carter and Doug Deloach.  Honorary pallbearers will be Chuck Kornegay, Bill Goins, Billy Green, Kerry Deloach, James Morris, Phillip Stone, Joel Green and Jim Deloach.Memorial messages may be sent to the family at www.radneysmith.com.Radney-Smith Funeral Home in Sylacauga, AL will direct the services.
