Rebecca "Becky" "Bec-Bec" Cleveland

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rebecca, “Becky”, “Bec-Bec” Cleveland, age 49, of Sylacauga, Alabama. Becky passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. She was born on the 4th day of January, 1976, in Sylacauga, Alabama, to Connie Floyd and William Cleveland. Bec-Bec was passionate about quite a few things - tie dye, sparkles, peace signs, anything disco, music, all sorts of “crafty business”- as she would call it, painting, and her HIPPY and BRIDGES babies. She worked as a HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) Parent Educator for S.A.F.E. Family Services for 25 years, and numerous years for the BRIDGES afterschool program. She adored all the parents and children she met along the way. Her love, light, and laughter will forever echo throughout more lives than we can count.

She was survived by her Husband: Bobby Gable, daughters: Barbara Graben (Dakota), Cathryn Pitts (Andrew), son: Michael Gable (Lindsey), grandchildren: Aryia Pitts, Kellan Pitts, Bryce Pitts, her mother and step-father: Connie and Charles Floyd, her father and step-mother: William “Peanut” and Cheryl Cleveland, her sisters: Cindy McCain (Jeremy), Melissa Butler (Curtis), brothers: Benjamin Cleveland (Rachel), Patrick Cleveland, step-sisters: Marlana Hodo, Melissa Chandler, brother-in-laws: Brandon Gable (Cassy), Cory Gable, nieces and nephews: Coby McCain (Ambry), Baylee McCain (Adain), Madelyn Butler, Savannah Gable, Emma Gable, Ella Gable, Myshele “Cookie” Peacock, John Tuffer Gable, great nieces and nephews: Wrenley McCain, Bentley Swain, Cooper Watts, her aunts and uncles: Tommy and Sharon Rousseau, Steve and Jan Rousseau, Steve Cleveland, Ricky Cleveland, bonus children and grandchildren: Cory, Katelyn, and Ryleigh Strickland, Emily Moore and KJ and Cooper Hosey, granddogs: Tilly, Roscoe, and Birdie Jane and also survived by a sprawling, story-filled network of extended family, each with their own chapter in the book of her life.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Charles and Barbara Rousseau, Fred and Billie Jean Cleveland, her aunts and uncles: Tony Cleveland, Linda Cleveland, her nieces: Gwendalyn “Bit” McDonald, Zoey Atkinson, her cousin: Allison Rousseau and her mother-in-law: Kathy Roberson.

Funeral service will be Monday, August 11, 2025 at 2PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel. Burial will follow at Alpine Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 5-8PM at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Gable, Dakota Graben, Coby McCain, Jeremy McCain, Corey Strickland and Andrew Pitts
