Mrs. Sandy Carter Shaw, age 86 of Sylacauga, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 4 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Reaves officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, March 3 from 6-8 PM at Curtis and Son North Chapel.
Mrs. Shaw was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Shaw and her parents, Ivey and Euna Carter.
She is survived by her daughter, Jayne S. Barnett and husband Luther of Sylacauga; brother, Larry Carter of Picayune, MS; sister, Rebecca Joiner of Columbiana; two grandchildren, Josh Barnett of Auburn and Cole Barnett of Alex City.
Pallbearers will be David Joiner, Mike Ryan, Phillip Johnson, Ron Johnson, and Paul Gillispie.
