Sharon Nixon Nix

Sylacauga, AL - Sharon Nix, 72, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, July 16, 2017 due to a massive stroke she suffered in October. She was born on July 7, 1945 to Curtis and Jewel Nixon. She married her high school sweetheart, Jerry Nix, who preceded her in death in 2002. Sharon later met and married David Brummitt in 2015. Her passions were gardening, cooking for others, and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered as an individual who lived to serve others.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Allen Nix in 1990, and brother Danny Nixon. She is survived by her daughter, Misty Moore (Chad) of Trussville, AL; husband, David Brummitt of Childersburg, AL; 4 loving grandchildren, Jonathan Moore, Sara Moore, David Moore and Jacob Moore all of Trussville, AL; and many more wonderful family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home. A service celebrating her life will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Radney-Smith Chapel with Bro Jerry Wayne Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Childersburg City Cemetery in Childersburg, AL.
