To the family Virgil Hartsfield I am so sorry to hear about your loss, you have our deepest sympathy.  Though this is a very difficult time for the family and friends, the Bible says that the dead are in the grave awaiting the resurrection. Jesus likened death to a deep sleep (Luke 11:11-14). By means of the resurrection, God will do away with death forever. He promised earth will be a paradise where sickness, sorrow, pain and death will be gone forever (Isaiah 25:8; Revelation 21:3,4).

I am deeply sorry about your great loss.  Skip was a friend to all.  I always looked up to him in high school.  May our Lord comfort you with sweet memories and His promise of heaven, and may He carry you through the difficult days ahead.  Heaven will be perfect--no more sorrow, no more pain, no more suffering, no more tears, no more night, no more goodbyes.

so very sorry I hit the wrong button was saying know God is with you through this time of sorrow but know he is better than we are now.

Will be keeping all of you in our prayers, we are out of town and will not be able to attend the service.  We both thought a lot of Skip, he fought a hard battle.

So sorry to hear about Skip's passing. I remember him well from high school.  He was always friendly and will be missed. Sending prayers for Skip, his family and all his friends.

My prayers and thoughts are with Skip's family.  I worked with him at Nemak.  He was a great guy.  He will be missed.

To all of the Hartsfield family, our sincerest condolences and prayers in the passing of Skip. He was a friend that I did not look to lose this soon in life. So very sorry to hear about Skip.  He was and remains a wonderful man... he seemed the epitome of a terrific dad and grandpa!  Know that he'll be sorely missed.
