Virgil E. WilliamsSylacauga, AL - Funeral service for Virgil E. Williams, 88, will be Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Radney-Smith Chapel with Rev. Joe Coley officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Sylacauga, AL.Mr. Williams died Saturday, December 15, 2012 at his residence.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Elizabeth Williams and sister, Elaween Nelson.  Mr. Williams served in WWII and a recipient of the Purple Heart.  He was at Pearl Harbor and at Iwo Jima and was wounded on Saipan.  Mr. Williams was owner of Williams Electric Company for many years.He is survived by his son, Doug Williams, wife Sherry of Sylacauga; sisters, Ruth Barron of Sylacauga, Dodie Barron of Sylacauga and Frankie Raughton of Trussville; grandsons, Brian Williams and Chris Williams both of Sylacauga; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Zane, Ashton, Presley, Cole, Marley and Piper.
