

Virlie Jeanette Wilson, 78, of Sylacauga. Services will be Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 11am at Curtis and Son North Chapel Funeral Home. Dr. Danny Lovett, Pastor Rick Wright and Pastor Justin Gambrell officiating. Burial will follow at the Holly Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, March 3, 2017, from 5pm until 7pm and Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 9:30am until 11am at the North Chapel.
Mrs. Wilson passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Coosa Valley Medical Center. She was born on March 22, 1938 in Coosa County to Chandler O. Carter and Lillian Vera Thornton. She was a member of the Church at Chelsea Westover.
She is survived by two sons; Terry Lee Wilson (Ran) of Coosa County and David Floyd Wilson (Christie) of Chelsea AL., two daughters; Tereasa Jeanette Jackson (George) of Talladega AL., and Denise Elizabeth Rigby (Gary) of Kosciusko, MS., two brothers; Bobby Wayne Carter (Linda) of Coosa County and Ricky Gene Thornton (Ginny) of Sylacauga; two sisters, Clara Joyce Nelson (Billy) of Sylacauga AL. and Patricia Ann Heine of Pensacola FL., 8 grandchildren, and 16 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Junior Lee Wilson, son; Phillip Eugene Wilson, and sister; Allie Clyde Thornton.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, granddaughters, nephews; Benji Wilson, Brandi Wilson, Justin Gambrell, James Wilson, Jeff Carter, Shae Rigby, Tarah Wilson, Anna Rigby, Leslie Edwards, Ryan Rigby, and Jess Thornton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Great Grandchildren; Tyler Wilson, Jackson Gambrell, Colson Gambrell, Hannah Wilson, Brook Lynn Wilson, Carly Warner, Libby Wilson, Madison Gambrell, Sammie, Maylon, Makinzie Wilson.
Mrs. Wilson worked for 31 years and retired from the Coosa Valley Medical. She thoroughly enjoyed cooking and surrounded by her family. Her greatest joy was being a totally devoted mother and granny to all her family.
The family would like to thank Alacare Home Health staff and the Coosa Valley Medical Center ICU staff for the great care they provided.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Holly Springs Baptist Church and Cemetery Association at 6248 Coosa Co. Rd. 56, Weogufka AL 35183.
