Willard Harrison Moore

The Life of Willard H. Moore. He was born on October 6, 1927 in Covin, Alabama-Fayette County. His mother and father was J. Walter & Jala Butler Moore. He had 8 siblings. He joined the Navy in 1944 at 17 years old. He was in WW!! and went home in 1947. He and our Mom were married on January 3,1948. They have three children- Billy R. (Lynn) Moore, Jerry E. (Kathy) Moore and Debra Moore Avant. Our Dad and mom moved to Sylacauga in 1951. They have seven grandchildren- Amy Moore Jones, Jon Moore, Micah Shelnutt, Misty Shelnutt, Jerry P. Moore and Jennifer Moore Barnett. Also have 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. Daddy was a loving husband, father and granddaddy. He was a Mason and had been since the 1960's. He had drove a truck for about 42 years. Daddy was observant, had a sense of humor, friendly and liked to pick at everyone. He was a servant of God, fought the good fight, ran his race and received his Crown of Glory. Daddy you are so very much missed by all of us and we love you so much. You will forever be in our hearts till we meet you again one day in Glory. We all love and miss you Daddy. Received his crown of righteousness on April 21, 2015.
