William Louie Cousins

Sylacauga, AL - Funeral service for William Louie Cousins, 92, will be Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Sylacauga with Rev. Rick Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Mausoleum in Sylacauga, AL. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Cousins died Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at his residence. He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Effie Cousins, sister, Lucille Loeb, sister, Fanny Mae Esco, sister, Sadie Cousins, and brother, Joe Cousins. He was a devoted husband and loved his church, his family and Alabama Football. He enjoyed gardening, camping and never met a stranger. Mr. Cousins retired from Southern Alloy after 27 years.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lena Cousins; three daughters, Janice (Bruce) Wheeler, Diane (Jimmy) Rogers, Wanda (David) Vincent; four grandchildren, Chad Wheeler, Dawn Hodges, Arthur Rogers, Steven Vincent; 8 great-grandchildren; and special family friend, Carol Laney.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to First Baptist Church of Sylacauga.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Wheeler, David Vincent, Chad Wheeler, Steven Vincent, John Offord and Rodney Trammell. Honorary pallbearers will be his Sunday School Class and First Baptist Deacons.
