Sylacauga, AL. - William "Bill" Ferrell, age 78, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025.
William (Bill) is survived by his wife, Teresa Metcalf Ferrell; children, Angie Greer (Scott), Billy Ferrell (Katie); grandchildren, Austin Greer, Matt Greer, William Ferrell, Taylor Ferrell; and great-grandchildren, Aidan Greer and Jon Everett Greer.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather - family was everything to him. He could often be heard telling his grandchildren, "Life is family."
Mr. Ferrell enjoyed coaching youth sports for many years. He grew up in Montgomery, Alabama where he met his love, Teresa Metcalf, in middle school. He loved Auburn and graduated in 1969. He was employed as a Civil Engineer with Alabama Power for the majority of his career.
Bill enjoyed time with his wife, Teresa, sitting on the porch watching the lake. He enjoyed water skiing and boat rides.
The family will have a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Fayetteville Methodist Church.
