As a proud member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Bobby found great joy in his spiritual life, attending services regularly. In recent years, when physical challenges prevented him from attending, he missed the fellowship and worship dearly.
Bobby had a passion for a few treasured aspects of his life: God, family, classic cars, and the University of Alabama football. He relished the moments when all of his children gathered under one roof, creating an atmosphere of love and connection. As a car enthusiast, he took immense pride in his classic cars and Corvettes, ensuring they were always spotless and never driven in the rain. His unwavering support for the Alabama football team was evident, as he rarely missed a game, passionately cheering for his team.
Known for his generous spirit, Bobby was a man who would give you the shirt off his back. His kindness and selflessness left a lasting impact on all who knew him. In his last years, he was surrounded by a special group of caregivers who treated him with love and compassion. Reva Morris, Tammy Scates, Lisa Bryant, Ebony Patterson, Kaiti Watkins, Allison Robinson, and Toyia Cottingham became part of his extended family, and the kindness they showed him will always be remembered.
