Sylacauga, AL. - Van Nash, age 83, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
He is survived by his daughter, Vanessa Collins (Rick); son, Lamar Nash (Julie); four grandchildren, Lauren Kathleen Nash, LeAnna Tate, Grayson Weithoner, Brianna Benefield; brother, Mike Allen (Faye); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Van was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen Nash; parents, William and Ruby Nash; sister, Joyce Woods; and great grandson, Raymond Cole.
Van loved motorcycles, working on cars and taking road trip adventures. He was a mechanic by trade, and loved his wife and family.
A visitation for Van will be held Sunday, March 10, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Radney-Smith Funeral Home, 320 North Elm Avenue, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Rick Collins officiating.
William will be laid to rest in St. Clair Memorial Garden, 21271 US-231, Pell City, AL 35125.
The family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice, more specifically Servie and Ebony, for their thoughtful and enduring support for the wonderful care they provided during his illness.
