Willie Joiner

Willie Joiner, age 77, of Sylacauga, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. Willie was born September 8, 1943 in Alabama to Martha Frances Joiner and Rev. Willie T. Joiner. A visitation for Willie will be held Thursday, February 11, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home North Chapel. A funeral service will occur Friday, February 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Estelle Community Church. A burial will occur following the funeral service at Bluff Springs Cemetery. Rev. Mark Deason to officiate all services.Mr. Joiner served in the U.S. Air Force, dedicated 45 years to the company formerly known as Kimberly Clark, and was a member of Estelle Community Church in Weogufka. Willie truly loved his family and seemed to never meet a stranger. Additionally, Willie was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Willie is survived by his wife, Judy Joiner; daughter Cheryl Cleveland (Peanut); son James Archie Joiner (Jennifer); sister Mona Sue Vick Webber, brothers: Glen Joiner, Phillip Ray Joiner, and Kary Pete Joiner; grandchildren Marlana Hodo (Davey), Melissa McDickinson (David), Jeremy Joiner (Jerri), Justin Joiner (Denise), Jarred Joiner (Anna), Becky Cleveland, Patrick Cleveland, Ben Cleveland and Cindy McCain; 10 Great-Grandchildren, and 1 Great-great grandchild. Willie was preceded in death by father Rev. Willie T. Joiner and mother Martha Frances Joiner and first wife, Peggy Ann Graham Joiner. Serving as pallbearers are Jeremy Joiner, Justin Joiner, Jarred Joiner, Brian Northcutt, Mason Myers, Wilson Hodo, Davey Hodo , Mark McDickinson and honorary pallbearers are Don Martin and Tom Scott.
