Willodean Cabaniss Minor

Willodean is survived by her daughter Brenda Troy of Belle Isle, FL; and her daughter Debbie Garner of Sylacauga (Mark); her grandchildren Mark Braswell, Lisa Bailey (Shane), Karen Kelley (Nathan), Matthew Troy, Rachael Ballard (Chris), and Ashley Garner, her great grandchildren Adam Braswell (Brooke), Gracie Braswell, Caleb Bailey, Jace Bailey (Annika), Lane Bailey (Marissa), Ethan Kelley, Brett Kelley, Violet Troy, Lily Troy, Ivy Troy, Audrey Ballard, Mason Garner, Lucas Eades, and Charlotte Eades, her great great grandchildren Jamison Braswell, Adaline Braswell, and Raylynn Braswell and her niece Melinda Harrison (Dan).

Willodean was preceded in death by her husband Ocie Lewis Minor; her father Thomas Cabaniss and her mother Leah Cabaniss; her brother Hoyt D. Cabaniss; and most of her good friends from church.

A visitation for Willodean will be held Sunday, October 26, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Curtis and Son Funeral Home, 1315 Talladega Hwy, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Willodean will be laid to rest in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, 1501 Talladega Highway, Sylacauga, Alabama 35150. All services will be officiated by Rev. Mac McCaleb.

Serving as pallbearers are Mark Braswell, Matthew Troy, Caleb Bailey, Jace Bailey, Lane Bailey, Ethan Kelley, Brett Kelley, and Adam Braswell. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Mark Garner, Nathan Kelley, Shane Bailey and Mason Garner.

Willodean lived in Sylacauga, and worked at the Sylacauga Utility Board and Elite Care inc. She was a master gardener and heirloom seamstress. She was a member of Marble City Church and held many position during her time.
