

Beaufort, SC (formerly of Sylvania) – Betty Ann Austin Pinckney, age 70, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, in Beaufort, SC. She was born in Newington, GA and was a business woman in Sylvania for 40 years, operating the Store and More and Bus Station as well as a salesperson at T.J. Maxx and was of Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents: Albert B. & Abbie Lee Stepherson Austin.
Survivors: Husband: Louis W. Pinckney, Sr. of Beaufort, SC; Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Stephen Smith and Fiancé, Chris Gregory and David & Sherry Smith, all of Sylvania; Sisters and Brothers-In-Law: Jonell A. Blackburn of Savannah, GA, Sibyl A. & Michael Jacobus of Brunswick, GA and Kay A. & Ben Boyer of Sylvania; 4 Grandchildren: Caitlin Smith, Christopher Smith, Genny Smith and Paige Smith Berger.
Visitation: Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM until 2:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home before the service.
Funeral services: Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. C. Mike Benson officiating. Burial at North Newington Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Michael Jacobus, Webster Porcher Pinckney, Don Blackburn, Dana Smoak, Lee Smoak and Bobby Adams.
