

STATESBORO, GEORGIA
Mrs. Carol S. (Toni) Altizer Parker, 73, of Statesboro, formerly of Screven County, passed away Thursday night, December 14, 2017, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.
She was born January 29, 1944, in Rainelle, West Virginia to the late Aubrey Cullen and Effie Irene Grizzle Altizer. Her interests included caring for veterans of all branches of the armed services and contributing to several veterans organizations. She loved to travel as well. She was the widow of the late Gordon S. Parker who passed away on November 20, 1997.
Survivors include: A Daughter, Dawn Irene Parker of Statesboro, Sons and Daughter-in-Law: James Cullen and Karry Parker of Statesboro and Russell Gordon Parker of Oxford, Georgia, Brothers and Sisters-in-Law: Jimmie Russell and Elizabeth Altizer of Ronceverte, West Virginia and Kenneth and Deanna Altizer of Mount Nebo, West Virginia, Grandchildren: Kameron Jade Parker and Cody James Parker both of Statesboro, and several Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home, Sylvania, with the Rev. Mike Mann officiating. Burial will be in the Little Horse Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from noon until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to a veterans' organization or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, New York 10016.
