

Waynesboro –George T. “Billy” Friese, age 79, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at his residence in Waynesboro. He was born in Screven County, was a retired maintenance mechanic at Federal Paper Company and was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran. He was preceded in death by his Wife: Wynonia Dickey Friese; Daughter: Wanda Friese; Son: Danny Friese; Parents: George Anton and Lucy Bragg Friese.
Survivors: Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Marie F. and Earl Inglett of Waynesboro and Anita F. and Gary Brown of Hiltonia; Son and Daughter-In-Law: George “Bert” and Betty Friese of Waynesboro; Sisters: Pauline Bragg of Hiltonia and Zelma Brown of Florence, SC; Brothers: Hank Friese of Sacramento, CA, Buddy Friese, Adrian Friese and Homer Friese, all of Sylvania; 4 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 3:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Travis Smith officiating. Burial at McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Wayne Friese, Jim Friese, Bobby Friese, Jarrod Friese, Buddy Friese and Buddy Hall. Honorary Pallbearers: Bobby Williams and Bill Cantrell.
