George Gross "G.W." Waters

Sylvania - George Gross "G.W." Waters, age 82, passed away on March 7, 2014, at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility in Statesboro, GA. He was born January 15, 1932, in Screven County, GA, to the late Willie Franklin Waters and the late Ruth Idell Gross W. Swilley. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, retired as a mechanic from Union Camp Corporation and was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church.

Survivors: His Wife: Nettie Counts Waters of Sylvania; Son and Daughter-in-Law: William & Sabrina Lovett Waters of Sylvania; Brother and Sister-in-Law: Delano & Lucille Waters of Cheyenne, WY; Granddaughters: Courtney Waters of Guyton, GA and Whitney Waters of Macon, GA; Sister-in-Law: Betty Wiley of Metter, GA; Brother-in-Law: Jerry Counts of Sylvania: Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Sunday, March 9, 2014, at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Memorial Services: Sunday, March 9, 2014, at 3:00 P.M. at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Scarborough officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
