Ida Williams Williams McClellan

Sylvania- Ida Williams McClellan, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2012 at Syl-View Health Care in Sylvania. She was born in Screven County, was a member of Bethel Brick Methodist Church and was a retired pin sorter for the Torrington Company, Sylvania Plant. She was preceded in death by her Husband: Emmitt G. McClellan, Sr.; Parents: Onnie L. and Mattie Iola Wells Williams, a Daughter, Martha Lariscy Cleland, a Grandson, David McClellan, and several Brothers and Sisters.

Survivors include: Daughters and Sons-in-Law, Madeline and Bill Watkins and Nancy and Charlie Oliver all of Sylvania, Margaret and W. A. Hooks of Garfield, GA and Elease and Lavaughn Counts of Langley, S.C., Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Elton and Linda McClellan of Appling, GA, Marshall and Catherine McClellan and Emmitt and Sherry McClellan all of Augusta, GA, 19 Grandchildren, 39 Great-Grandchildren, 8 Great-Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. McClellan will be held Monday, May 14, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kitty Newton officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Brick United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will her grandsons: Grady McClellan, John McClellan, Steven McClellan, Thomas Oliver, Jack Oliver, Mark Lariscy, Wesley A. Hooks, and Stewart Hooks.

Visitation will be Monday from 1 until 2:00 P.M. at the chapel.
