

SYLVANIA, GEORGIA
James Franklin Hodges, 77, of Sylvania, died Saturday night, September 23, 2011, in the Syl-View Health Care Center, Sylvania.
He was born in Screven County, Georgia to the late Hugh and Annie Anderson Hodges. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church and was retired from the J. P. Stevens Company and was a farmer. He also loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include, Sisters and Brothers-in-Law, Florrie H. and Edgar (Bubba) Bazemore of Sylvania, Hazel H. Lee of Portal, GA and Gail H. and Herbert Roberts of Hampton, SC. Brothers and Sister-in-Law, Edward and Sandra Hodges, and Carl Hodges of Sylvania. Several Nieces and Nephews, and a Companion and Special Friend, Carrie Bell B. Edwards of Sylvania.
Funeral services for Mr. Hodges will be held Monday, September 26, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at the Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Usher officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be, D. J. Rudd, Stuart Boykin, Ashley Bazemore, Dwight Massey, A. R. Coward, and Earl Coward.
Mr. Hodges will be placed in the church at 10:00 A.M. Monday.
Visitation will Sunday evening from 6 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
