Josh Robert Lanier

SYLVANIA, GEORGIA

Mr. Josh Robert Lanier, 91, of Sylvania, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017, at the Syl-View Rehabilitation and Memory Care Center in Sylvania.

The Jenkins County, Georgia native was born May 8, 1926, to the late James Robert and Floy Daughtry Lanier. He was a member of the Little Horse Creek Baptist Church and was a long-time member of the Screven County Camp of The Gideons International.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Camille Eastmead Edenfield Lanier and his sons, Benjamin Robert Lanier and David Allen Lanier.

Surviving Mr. Lanier are: A Step-Daughter and Son-in-Law, Brenda Edenfield and John Mark Counts of Sylvania, A Step-Son and Daughter-in-Law, Jim and Dawn Edenfield of Sylvania, Grandchildren, Benjamin Lanier, Josh Lanier, and Amy Lanier, Step-Grandchildren, Ginny and John Guerry Burns of Clyo, Georgia, Chuck and Sarah Kight, John Mark, Jr. and April Counts, and Cam and Jeff Black all of Sylvania, Step-Great Grandchildren, Kayla and Josh Patrick, Scout and Piper Black, Max Kight and Ryan Kight all of Sylvania, Jon David Burns and Ava Burns of Clyo.

Graveside services for Mr. Lanier will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017, at 10:00 A.M. at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Florence, South Carolina.
