

Sylvania – Julie Ann Staples Churney, age 42, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Optim Medical Center-Screven in Sylvania. She was born in Bangor, ME and was employed by G.S.U. Botanical Gardens where she worked as the events coordinator. She was also a member of the Columbia Street Baptist Church.
Survivors: Her Husband: David Francis Churney, III of Sylvania; Her Parents: Robert & Gladys Gould Staples of East Holden, ME; Her Mother-In-Law and Father-In-Law: David & Lynn Churney, Jr. of Sylvania; Her Sisters and Brother-In-Law: Joanna Staples of Atlanta, GA and Angie S. and Jason Bracket of Portland, ME; Her Brother: Matthew Staples of Bangor, ME; Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 4:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Benson officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
