

Sylvania – Karl Thomas (Tom) Kile, Sr., age 59, passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was born in Nyack, NY to the late John Wallace & Verna Lee Parker Kile. He worked in law enforcement for many years and was Police Chief in Register, GA until his retirement. He was a member of the Georgia Chief of Police Association and was of Catholic faith. He was also a Veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son: Bobby Kile; Brothers: John Terry Kile and Gary Kile.
Survivors: Wife: Vera Victorovina Kile of Sylvania; Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Karl Thomas, Jr. & Kari Kile of Montgomery, AL, James Allen & Kim Kile of Bloomingdale, GA, William T. & Jennie Kile of Newington, GA, John & Kim Kile of Clarksville, TN; Step-Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Yuri & Diana Andreev of Savannah, GA and Constantin & Eugenia Karuzin of Russia; Sisters & Brothers-In-Law: Linda K. Brewer and Donna Jean & Paul Thuilier of Sylvania, Judy K. & David Dewey of Puyallup, WA and Micki Lynn & Mike Hidri of Savannah, GA; Brothers & Sisters-In-Law: Sheriff Mike & Helen Kile and Kenny Kile of Sylvania and Wallace Patrick & Gloria Kile of Oliver, GA; 15 Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Services: Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 3:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Dr. Karen R. Zeigler officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery with Air Force military honors.
Pallbearers: Members of Chatham County Sheriff’s Department Honor Guard. Honorary Pallbearers: Law Enforcement Officers.
