Sylvania – Larry Melton Shaver, Sr., age 64, passed away at Optim Medical Center-Screven in Sylvania on Monday, May 22, 2017. He was born in Alexandria, VA and was retired from working as an auto mechanic. He was preceded in death by his Father: Andrew M. Shaver; Mother: Shirley Ann Shaver Stafford; Granddaughter: Kadence Diane Sheley; Sisters: Mary Shaver and Annie Belew.

Survivors: Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Elizabeth Ann & Timothy Hagan, Tina M. & Michael Shelton and Anna M. & Eric Sheley, all of Sylvania; Son: Larry M. Shaver, Jr. of Sylvania; Sister: Peggy Shaver of Virginia; Brothers and Sister-In-Law: Jimmy Wayne & Barbara Shaver of Sylvania, Billy Shaver, Brett Breeden, Paul Breeden and Chip Breeden, all of Virginia; 13 Grandchildren; 7 Great-Grandchildren; Ex-Wife: Darlene Turner of Sylvania; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Visitation: Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kitty Newton officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Eric Sheley, Wayne Shaver, David Turner, Mike Shelton, Nick Auber and Timothy Hagan.
