Sylvania- Martha Melrose Smith Mock, age 89, passed away on February 19, 2012, at Optim Medical Center in Sylvania. She was born in Bryan County, GA, was a retired Dietician & L.P. Nurse, as well as a homemaker and was a member of Jackson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her Husbands: Rufus Madison Mock and Victor S. Wise; Parents: R. Willie & Zellie Shuman Smith; Sister: Annie C. LaFlamme; Brother: Grady Smith.

Survivors: Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Vicki & T.W. Evans of Newington, Zellie Wise-Holland & Wayne Holland of Savannah, GA and Diane W. Cross of Tifton, GA; Step-Son and Daughter-In-Law: George & Geneva Mock of FL; Step-Daughters: Carol Mock of Savannah and Marsha Mock of Statesboro, GA; Sister: Mary S. Whetsell of Charlestown, SC; Sister-In-Law: Joyce C. Smith of Marlow, GA; 13 Grandchildren: Delaine Evans Haulbrook, Kris Evans Quick, Brady Tucker, Staci Tucker Jacobs, Dusty Tucker, Rhett Butler, Kathleen Holland, Ashley Holland, Cody Holland, Rachel Cleland Baylor, Whitney Gregory, Jarret Mock and Kaylee Mock; 9 Great-Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces & Nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral services: Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 2:00 PM at Jackson Baptist Church with Rev. Ralph Dixon & Rev. Pete Wall officiating. Burial at Jackson Baptist Church Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.

Pallbearers: Brady Tucker, Dusty Tucker, Rhett Butler, Cody Holland, Josh Quick, Michael Morris, Will Boyd and Ben Boyd.
