

Sylvania – Morris Russell Easler, age 73, passed away Friday, March 14, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah. He was born in Spartanburg, SC and was a member of Sylvania First United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was employed in management for 20 years at the Army & Air Force Exchange. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Oliver & Catherine Wolfe Easler.
Survivors: Wife: Betty Jean Beard Easler of Sylvania; Step-Daughter and Son-In-Law: Gloria & Tommy Smith of Eustis, FL; Step- Sons and Daughters-In-Law: Edward, Jr. & Karen Gross of Evans, GA, Johnny & Lisa M. Gross of Newington and Timmy & Karen Gross of Sylvania; Sister and Brother-In-Law: Carol E. & John Kelly of Jacksonville, FL; Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Rev. Larry & Jessie Easler of NC and Dwight & Ruth Easler of Spartanburg, SC; 10 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; 1-Great-Great-Grandchild; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Memorial Service: Sunday, March 16, 2014, at 3:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Karen Zeigler and Rev. Mike Benson officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
