Phillip Glenn Meads

Florence S.C. – Phillip Glenn Meads, age 71, passed away Monday, February 7, 2011 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He was born in Screven County; he worked in Transportation Management and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Florence S.C. He was preceeded in death by his parents; James B. and Alma D. Meads; and son Michael Phillip “Mickey” Meads.

Survivors: Wife: Bette Boswell Meads of Florence, S.C.; Aunt: Lois Dickey Jenkins of Sylvania; Brother: Danny Meads of Sylvania; and Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Friday, February 11, 2011 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at Hiltonia Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Bazemore officiating. Burial at Bascom Cemetery.

Body will lie in state at the church and hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers: Chuck Boswell, Stuart Boswell, Luke Boswell, Troy Ayer, Jerry Boswell, Randy Kulamer.

Honorary Pallbearers: Men of Hiltonia Baptist Church.
