Robert Bob L. Ellison

Sylvania – Robert Lovett “Bob” Ellison, age 81, passed away January 15, 2010 at the Screven County Hospital in Sylvania. He was born in Screven County, was a retired farmer and was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Masons and the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Joe Henry and Rosa Lee Lovett Ellison; Brother: Joseph R. Ellison.

Survivors: Wife: Edna Durden Ellison of Sylvania; Daughter and Son-in-Law: Emily and David Flanders of Sylvania; Son and Daughter-in-Law: Gregg and Toni Ellison of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Ben & Kristin Ellison, Robert Ellison, Joel Ellison, Andy & Mikki Saxon, Clint Cowart and Allison Flanders; Great-Grandsons: Gentry Saxon and Walker Saxon; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Sunday, January 16, 2011 at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Monday, January 17, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Ralph Dixon and Rev. Steve Purnell officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Ben Ellison, Robert Ellison, Joel Ellison, Andy Saxon, Clint Cowart, Trey Daniel and Allison Flanders. Honorary Pallbearers: Johnny Evans, Jimmy Dickerson, Mack Beasley, Jim Edenfield, Wilbur Matthews, Henry Glisson, James Thompson III, Lefonza Carter, Wardell Gardner and the Shriners.
