Shirley Jean Burke Bragg

VALDOSTA, GEORGIA

Mrs. Shirley Jean Burke Bragg, 78 of Valdosta, Georgia, died Friday, October 21, 2016, at the Lake Haven Nursing Home in Valdosta.

She was born in Sylvania, Screven County, Georgia on December 24, 1937, to the late James Edward and Madge Edna Roberts Burke. She was of the Protestant faith and was retired from the Valdosta Daily Times Circulation Department.

Mrs. Bragg was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband,Wilbur C. Bragg, a Daughter: Deborah Lynn Bragg, a Son: David Alan Bragg, and Brothers: Edward Burke and Jimmy Burke.

Surviving her are: Sons and Daughters-in-Law: Wilbur C. (Bill) Bragg, II of Acworth, Georgia, James A. and Rose Bragg, and Stephen M. Bragg all of Valdosta, a Sister: Carol B. Williams of Sylvania, and Brothers and Sisters-in-Law: Emory and Tency Burke of Paxton, Florida and Roy and Elizabeth Burke of Sylvania, 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great-Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

A Graveside service will be held Monday, October 24, 2016, at 2:00 P.M. at the Screven County Memorial Cemetery, 820 East Ogeechee Street, Sylvania, GA, with the Rev. Shane McLain officiating.

The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service.
