Savannah, GA (Formerly of Sylvania) – Thomas (Tom) Jerrold Black, Jr., age 96, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016, at Candler Hospital in Savannah, GA. He was born in Screven County, GA to the late Thomas Jerrold, Sr. & Elizabeth Wyche Black. He worked in the real estate business, owning and operating Black Investments in Savannah, GA, and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Savannah. He was a Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife: Angie Altman Black; Brother: Weldon Wyche Black; Sister: Mary Baker Rice.

Survivors: Daughter: Nancy Black Leavitt of Savannah, GA; Sons & Daughter-In-Law: Jerry & Carol Black and Littleton Black, all of Savannah; Companion: Marie Taggart of Savannah, GA; Grandchildren: Mitchel Leavitt, Baker Leavitt, Justin Black, Lila Berlon, Will Black, Lynette Black, Carrie Buchanan, Katie Black, Lizzie Black and Abbie Black; 6 Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Visitation: Friday, May 20, 2016 at 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

Funeral Services: Friday, May 20, 2016, at 4:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Steven Purnell officiating. Burial at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Mitchel Leavitt, Will Black, Baker Leavitt, Justin Black, Rusty Black, John Paul Berlon and Kenny Edwards.
