Holly Hill, SC – Thurston Matthew Massey, age 34, of Holly Hill, SC, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 due to injuries in an auto accident. He was a graduate of the College of Charleston and worked as a teacher at Oakbrook Middle School in Ladson, SC. He was also a member of Holly Hill United Methodist Church.

Survivors: Father: Terry Coleman Massey, Sr. of Dalton, GA; Mother: Maxine H. Massey of Rainsville, AL; Sister and Brother-In-Law: Melanie & Tim Smith of Sylvania; Brother and Sister-In-Law: Terry, Jr. & Meredith Massey of Rainsville, AL; 3 Nieces: Ashley Smith and Anna Smith of Sylvania and Emily Massey of Rainsville, AL; 2 Aunts: Hilda Jane Sowell of Sylvania and Martha Ann Hill of Savannah, GA; Longtime Companion: Allen Milburn of Holly Hill, SC; Longtime Friend: Tommy Powell of Statesboro, GA; Several Cousins.

Visitation Services: Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.

There will be a private burial at a later date.
