

Sylvania – Wallace Alman Taylor, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, at his Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. He was born in Screven County, to the late William Marcus & Louella Waters Taylor. He was retired from the Sylvania Yarn Plant where he worked as a supervisor of the parts department and was a member of McDonald Baptist Church, but regularly attended Memorial Baptist Church. He was also a U.S. Air Force Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carolyn T. Burns.
Survivors: Wife: Jacqueline “Jackie” Hodges Taylor of Sylvania; Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Lynn T. & Robert Weaver and Cindy T. and Roger Brannen, all of Sylvania; Sons and Daughters-In-Law: William & Margaret Taylor of Sycamore, SC and Chad & Brandy Taylor of Sylvania; Grandchildren: Justin Brannen, Cone Taylor, Carlie Taylor, Addison Taylor, Caelan Taylor and Avery Taylor; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 26, 2015, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Dresen and Glinnis Parker officiating. Burial following at Screven County Memorial Cemetery.
