“Carmen Maria Bogert, age 86, of Jupiter, Florida. Passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024 on Long Island, NY. Carmen was born to Rogers and Lena Cannegieter on the beautiful island of Saba, in the Netherlands Antilles. She immigrated to the United States and settled in New York over 60 years ago. Retiring to Jupiter, Florida in the late 1980s. She is survived by her four children: Helene Klappert, Carmen “Annette” Bogert, Nicole “Solange” Lombardi-Coglianese and Mark Bogert. She was a proud grandmother “Omi” to her nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Carmen was raised in a Christian home filled with love and laughter. She raised her four children in that same Christian faith, encouraging them to be loving, independent, kind and God fearing. We believe and are comforted in knowing that the Bible says:
“Absent from the Body, Present with the Lord.” “He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Carmen was a beautiful, kind, generous and thoughtful lady who loved the simple things of life… most importantly was spending time with her family and friends. We take comfort in knowing that we will see her again one day. She will be greatly missed. Private family memorial to be held in St Maarten.”
