John J. Caliolo

Caliolo, John (Jack) J. (74) of Muttontown, NY, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2023 after a 12 year long battle with cancer. He was a true fighter right up to the end, never losing his sense of humor. He spent his last weeks surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Beloved husband of 48 years to Lois. Cherished son of the late Joseph and Helen. Loving father of Kristin (Josh) Shannon, John W. (Brigid), Robert J., and Laura (Michael) Hoyt. Dear grandfather of Matthew, William, Carly and Darcy. Fond brother to Alin (Quirino) Wong and Robert A.

Jack was born on March 21, 1949 to Joseph and Helen Caliolo of Sea Cliff, NY. After graduating from St. Mary's High School in Manhasset, NY in 1967, Jack went on to study Accounting & Business at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, graduating cum laude in 1971 with a Bachelor's degree.

Jack started his lifelong accounting career as a CPA at Ernst & Young in Huntington, NY where he worked for 20 years. Following E&Y, Jack pursued a career in Corporate Bankruptcy Accounting, eventually starting his own bankruptcy consultant business.

Jack was an avid golfer his whole life, traveling the world to play the best courses. He was an active member of Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove, NY for over 40 years where he won the Club Championship in 1982 and served on the board as Golf Chairman for many years and eventually became President.
